Ноябрь в саду и цветнике

В ноябре в саду и цветнике проводятся самые последние работы по подготовке к зиме. При непредсказуемой погоде, которая в последнее время удивляет то аномально низкой температурой, то безснежными или дождливыми периодами, подготовительные меры становятся все важнее и актуальнее. От того, насколько ваш сад или цветник готов в зимней непогоде, будет напрямую зависеть выживаемость растений и их декоративные качества следующей весной.

Подготовка сада к зимовке

В ноябре в саду производится последняя санитарная обрезка деревьев и кустарников. Это самое время для нарезки черенков. Незимостойкие виды (гортензия крупнолистная, рододендрон, вейгела, молодые хвойные) укрывают.

Однолетние побеги малины и ежевики пригибают к земле, так они лучше перезимуют. Отплодоносившие ветви вырезают и используют для защиты деревьев и кустарников от грызунов, ими обвязывают стволы. Хорошей защитой также будут пахучие ветки полыни и еловый лапник. Приствольные круги аккуратно перекапываются, а основания стволов и скелетных ветвей желательно побелить известью. Гнилые плоды, падалицу, сорняки, больные ветви и опавшие листья плодовых деревьев нужно собрать и сжечь.

В это время необходимо слить воду из садовых емкостей и труб, что убережет ваш водопровод от размораживания и разрывов. Садовый инвентарь желательно почистить и отремонтировать. В ноябре можно также заготовить грунт для рассады.

Подготовка цветника к зимовке

В ноябре перебирают собранные в текущем сезоне семена однолетников, их очищают от цветоложа, маркируют и укладывают на хранение в теплое место. В это время также рекомендуется проверить состояние заготовленных клубней георгин, бегонии, луковиц гладиолусов.

В первые дни заморозков нужно укрыть розы, их плетистые и штамбовые сорта предварительно пригибают к почве. В это время можно посадить астры, годецию, календулу, иберис, душистый табак, флоксы, маки, матиоллу, резеду и другие однолетники.

Многолетние и травянистые растения срезают, оставляя побеги 8-10 см. Под них подсыпают почву, что послужит профилактикой от промерзания в морозы.
